Road surface marking
ColdPlast is an innovative technique of road surface marking, though it has only recently appeared on the market, it is already popular in Europe, the US and Asia. This technique consists in the application of cold liquid polymers on the base of two-component methyl methacrylate polymers. The agent hardens immediately after the application along with the formation of a cross-linked hardened thermoset polymer, which is characterized by increased operation ability: mechanical strength, adhesion, durability and thermostability. ColdPlast technique is meant to produce road marking coatings of unique qualities:
- to produce a skid-resistant surface of higher frictional coefficient
- to produce a cost-efficient skid-resistant surface of improved light reflection
- to produce a skid-resistant surface of high durability and, consequently, a long service life
Other technologies, such as thin-layer paints and coatings and ThermoPlast, hard thermoplastic resins, applied at a temperature of about 200°С, fail to come up to the level of ColdPlast in the terms of technical properties and economic characteristics.
